Macromic microfibers are considered for plastic shrinkage control. They should not be described as a universal load-bearing reinforcement or curing system.

The role of a microfiber
Synthetic microfibers such as Macromic are primarily considered to help reduce plastic shrinkage cracking in fresh concrete. This is different from the post-crack reinforcement role of suitable macrofibers. Microfibers should not be described as automatically increasing structural load capacity or replacing load-bearing mesh. Their effect depends on product, dosage, mix and placement conditions.
Applications and fire-related claims
For concrete, screeds, mortar or precast use, check the current product documentation and mix compatibility. Fibers do not replace curing, joint design or structural reinforcement. Some polypropylene fiber systems are investigated for reducing explosive spalling in fire, but that does not establish fire resistance for every microfiber concrete. Any fire-related use requires system-specific evidence and project approval. Roads, pipes, water structures and tunnels need their own design checks.
References and archive provenance
These manufacturer references explain general category distinctions. Their dosages, test results and certifications must not be transferred to Macrotwist, Macromic or Macrosteel. The original archive link is retained for provenance, not as validation of its old claims.
