Definition and applications

Dramix is Bekaert's family of steel fibers for concrete reinforcement. Product types differ in geometry and properties; glued bundles and packaging should be checked for the selected type rather than assumed for all fibers. Floors, shotcrete and precast elements have different loading and acceptance requirements. Steel fibers are not polypropylene microfibers or synthetic macrofibers.

Claims that require evidence

The archive's fixed speed and cost-reduction percentages have been removed because they were not supported by identifiable project data. Any savings comparison must include equivalent performance, approved reinforcement scope and mixing and quality-control work. Crack bridging and post-crack performance require suitable concrete-fiber test results. Impact or fatigue performance is not guaranteed for every mix. Conventional reinforcement must not be removed without a project-specific design and engineer approval.

References and archive provenance

These manufacturer references explain general category distinctions. Their dosages, test results and certifications must not be transferred to Macrotwist, Macromic or Macrosteel. The original archive link is retained for provenance, not as validation of its old claims.
