Macromic micro synthetic fiber for concrete
Macromic micro synthetic fibers are evaluated to support plastic shrinkage crack control in fresh cement-based mixtures. They are not a direct replacement for structural macro fibers or steel reinforcement.
Typical applications
Macromic can be considered for concrete floors, screeds, plaster, mortar and precast mixes where early-age crack control is a concern. The mix and application conditions determine suitability.
Mixing and placement
Coordinate addition sequence, mixing time and distribution with the supplier's instructions. Placement, surface finishing, jointing and curing remain essential parts of the concrete process.
Technical assessment
The mix design, ambient conditions, placement method and performance requirements inform product and dosage selection. Confirm final recommendations against the project specification.
Frequently asked questions
Does Macromic provide structural reinforcement?
No direct equivalence should be assumed. Micro fibers primarily support early-age plastic shrinkage crack control; structural requirements need a separate engineering design.
Is there a fixed dosage for all mixes?
No. Dosage is determined from the mix, application method, environment and intended performance.
